We offer a record of the renovations to our ‘mid-century modern’ style Florida home in Holmes Beach Florida as it was transformed from a 1953 vintage time capsule to a completely updated vacation home. All major heritage interior and exterior style elements were either preserved, echoed or reflected in the renovation design.

Hurricane Resistance Report
Refer to the hurricane resistance section of the construction nuts and bolts section of this web site, and we are pleased to report that neither hurricane Helene, nor hurricane Milton had an appreciable effect on the building. Helen’s surge caused 2 feet of water outside, however only 1 to 2″ of flood water managed to seep inside causing some relatively minor damage compared to other properties in the neighborhood and on the island. Hurricane Milton’s wind force caused damage to trees both on and adjacent to our property however the tied-down roof structure and roof membrane withstood the test.
