The Master Bedroom shares the airy construction, furniture and finish elements of the Living / Great Room, except that the floor is differentiated as a porcelain wood texture tile. The horizontal window provides privacy from the road without the necessity of curtains. The hot summer sun is shaded from the interior by the typical mid-century exterior soffit overhang of the original structure.
A fire escape window (to the right of the bed) satisfies the code requirement for a bedroom exit, but is optionally masked by a black-out roller blind for privacy.
