Matchstick House

206 76th Street was locally given the nickname “the matchstick house” in reference to the extensive use of temporary wood framing,  necessary to temporarily support the roof rafters and  beams during the renovations. Extensive temporary supports were required to not only preserve as much of the existing structure and form of the heritage construction as possible but also to allow the upgrading of the house to fully current Florida Building Codes and Standards.
